Went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 13 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the Dominic and Domenica Furgione. She was united in marriage to Vincent Bumann on July 23, 1955 celebrating 65 years together. She was a devoted daughter-in-law to the late Sebastian and Hedwig Bumann. She was preceded in death by all seven of her siblings and their spouses: Amelia (Pat) Sinisi, Victor (Emma), Ann (Pete) Smith, Louise (Jim) Cook, Eugene (Betty) Torino and Theresa (John) Verbonitz and a brother-in-law Father Joseph Bumann. Surviving are her beloved husband, Vincent and her six children: Victoria Buda of Altoona, Lisa (John) Malle of Pittsburgh, Francine (Jerome) Fulare of Altoona, David of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Kristine (Gordon) Etter of Franklin, TN, and Amy Bumann of Nashville, TN; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer, Kayleigh and Matthew (Maddie) Buda, Bryan and Eric Malle, Ashlan, Samantha and Christopher Fulare and Maxwell, Elani and Gillian Etter; one great-grandchild, Kai Buda; sisters-in-law: Sister Bertha Bumann, Marian Bumann, Dorothy Furgione and Charlotte Furgione; brother-in-law Francis Bumann, many nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend Rosemary (Duffy) Korhan. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Parish in Altoona where she was a Christian Mother. She volunteered at Bon Secours/Altoona Hospital gift shop. Yolanda retired from Gee Bee department store in Altoona in 1993 after 18 years of service. She enjoyed visiting friends and family, playing cards, bowling, dances and gatherings, especially with Golden Nuggets and Horseshoe Seniors. Her true vocation in life was serving and taking care of others with her patience, kindness, and humble spirit. Special thanks to UPMC Hospice for their compassionate care. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and safety for all, a private funeral mass will be held at the convenience of the family. A celebration of her life will be determined later next year. Arrangements by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc. Condolences may be made at www.stevensfamilyfuneralhomes.com or Stevens Family Funeral Homes Facebook.
